# Photography attribution

Images in this folder are local copies for the unpublished Me+ Jungle Greens draft. They are not hotlinked. Each file was downscaled and saved as JPEG for page weight. That processing does not change the license. Share-alike files stay under their original Creative Commons licenses.

Unsplash and Pexels were not reachable from the build environment (bot challenges), so every photograph below is from Wikimedia Commons.

### Label notes for ingredients

- **Chlorella.** Commons does not have a clear, freely licensed photo of broken-cell chlorella *powder*. The page uses a real micrograph and says so in the alt text. It is not a scoop of powder.
- **Acerola.** The file’s scientific name is *Malpighia glabra*, which Commons describes as Brazilian acerola. The formula line remains “Acerola cherry extract.”
- **Barley grass.** The only clearly labeled barley-grass photo found is a small (512×384) original. It is used at thumbnail size and not upscaled.
- **Inulin, the postbiotic, and Bacillus/Weizmannia coagulans** are listed as doses. The Gut Stack hero is dried chicory root, the plant inulin comes from, not a photo of the probiotic or postbiotic.
- **Pineapple.** The page shows the whole fruit. The formula lines are pineapple powder and bromelain, an enzyme from pineapple, not a photo of the purified enzyme.
- **Chlorella.** The carousel uses the same micrograph as the formula chip. It is labeled Chlorella and is not a scoop of powder.

## Give section

| File | Honest label | Creator | License | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `give-mae-la-camp.jpg` | Wide view of Mae La refugee camp, Tak, Thailand. A Karen refugee community from Myanmar. Landscape of the camp, not a portrait of a named student. Used on the Give section and the sponsorship page. | Mikhail Esteves | [CC BY 2.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/) | [Mae La refugee camp.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Mae_La_refugee_camp.jpg) |
| `give-mae-la-houses.jpg` | Houses and trees at Mae La refugee camp, Tak, Thailand. Same community and license as the wide camp view. Not a portrait. | Mikhail Esteves | [CC BY 2.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/) | [Mae La refugee camp2.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Mae_La_refugee_camp2.jpg) |
| `give-mae-la.jpg` | Mae La, Tak, Thailand (February 2025), seen from a distance: houses among trees on a green hillside. Mae La is primarily a Karen refugee community from Myanmar in Thailand. People are small in the frame; this is not a distress close-up and not a portrait of a named sponsored student. | Tayzar44 | [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) | [Mae La refugee camp from Thailand.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Mae_La_refugee_camp_from_Thailand.jpg) |
| `give-htee-pwint-lake.jpg` | Kept in the folder, not shown on the page. Htee Pwint Lake, Demoso Township, Kayah State, Myanmar (14 May 2018). A landscape, not an IDP camp. | Ninjastrikers | [CC BY-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) | [Htee Pwint Lake, Demoso Township.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Htee_Pwint_Lake,_Demoso_Township.jpg) |
| `give-loikaw-market.jpg` | Kept in the folder, not shown on the page. Naungyah Market, Loikaw, Kayah (Karenni) State, Myanmar. Everyday market life, not a camp. | MarenHumburg | [CC BY-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) | [Loikaw market.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Loikaw_market.jpg) |

### What was not used, and why

No clearly licensed free photograph was found that is both (1) labeled Karenni / Kayah / Ban Mai Nai Soi / Ban Mae Surin and (2) a dignified scene of students or camp community life. Commons search for “Karenni refugee” returned documents, not usable photos.

These were reviewed and **not** used because they are tourism spectacle, distress, minors in a marketing frame, or the wrong community:

- `give-kayah-woman.jpg` (Commons: [Kayah woman, Myanmar, 2012](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Kayah_woman,_Myanmar,_2012,_16x20@300dpi_ver_2DS.jpg), Madhatterxp, CC BY-SA 4.0) was removed from Give. The photograph is a Kayan/Padaung “long neck” brass-coil portrait — tourism spectacle — and does not belong next to “Your purchase sponsors a student or IDP.”
- Other Kayan / Padaung “long neck” portraits and Pattaya “ethnic village” weaving photos (tourism framing, often children).
- A KNLA medic treating displaced civilians (conflict-care, heavier than this page should be).
- S’gaw Karen girls outside a school in Khun Yuam, Mae Hong Son. The file describes a Karen village in Thailand, not a Karenni IDP camp, and the subjects are children.
- Mae La fence and food-distribution frames that center the barrier or a ration line.

| `story-doi-pui.jpg` | Mixed forest on Doi Pui, Doi Suthep–Pui National Park, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Kept in the folder. It is no longer the Me+ story photograph. The story section is waiting on Me+ AM/PM bottle photography, which is not in the repo. | Vyacheslav Argenberg | [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) | [Doi Pui forest, Chiang Mai, Thailand.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Doi_Pui_forest,_Chiang_Mai,_Thailand.jpg) |

## Product images that are not in this folder

`assets/jungle-greens-pouch.png`, `assets/protein-pouch.png`, `assets/coffee-pouch.png`, `assets/logo.png`, and the SVG icons are brand pouch mocks and marks, not these stock photographs.

`meplus-am-pm-legacy.jpg` is a photograph of the original Me+ AM and PM bottles, supplied for the story section. It is not a Wikimedia file.
